Is Star Wars Galaxies finally rolling over and dying?

After 6 years, Star Wars Galaxies is Killing off 12 servers.

With the coming of Star Wars: The Old Republic, who really cares?
I personally stopped playing Galaxies about a year ago when I just couldn't stand it anymore.
I loved my characters, I loved my homes and all the decorations.
But there was never anything to do. It became BORING!
