Video of Force Unleashed using Wii Lightsaber

This is too awesome. The Force Unleashed for the Wii will make use of the hand controllers to allow you to wield a lightsaber and unleash your force powers.

Imagine the fun when you slash or jab with one hand and the Lightsaber on the screen slashes and jabs with you, or you push your hand out and blast someone with the force.

Dueling with your Friends may never be the same again.

Modifying my Joe Jedi FX Saber

So I only had my new Radio Shack Master Replicas Force FX Lightsaber Construction Set for about a week before I had to open it up and see what made it tick. It wasn't too hard (I'll post some pics later) to open it up and find out what was in there. I found some helpful instructional videos on You Tube that covered it pretty well.

Basically it's setup like the LUX conversions that offers. It uses a 3 color 1 watt LED and lens as opposed to the string of LED's that the other FX sabers have.

I ended up changing the blade color to teal (Sunriders Destiny) by cutting the lead going to the green led and connecting it to the blue lead. By using a 3.3 ohm resistor on the blue wire it made a nice Teal/Cyan color. Without the resistor it was more of a light blue.

I used the two blank/empty pieces of the saber kit and added my own grips to them making it a totally unique saber.
